An advanced fee incentivises the recycling of building materials

​Construction waste and excavated material from new buildings account for by far the largest share of waste in the building sector. Due to misplaced incentives, they are not reused often enough today. Regulations and incentives, such as an advanced disposal fee, can promote change in the building industry.
